Beginners Lino Printing at Hestercombe

Join printmaker Alex Williams for an introductory session to lino printing. Linocut is a satisfying way of creating bold, repeatable images. Alex will guide you to develop your design ready for carving into a piece of lino and teach you how to safely carve it. You’ll then learn how to ink up your carved plate ready to print onto paper. You can make your own cards or print directly onto paper.

I am a Somerset based artist and printmaker whose work focuses on still life, ceramics and architecture. In my work I seek to simplify form and pattern and enjoys using a bright and bold colour palette to create joyful prints.
