Late Create Summer

Join us for a relaxing evening of crafts in Trull, Taunton on Friday 7 June.  There are four workshops for you to choose from and you can choose two of them.  Workshops are all 1 hour each.  Groups are small and places are limited so make sure you book early to get your first choice of session.  When you book please remember to choose two tickets per person, one for each workshop - Workshop 1 and Workshop 2.

 

Your ticket price - £32 - includes all your materials and equipment, expert instruction during two 1 hour workshops, booking fees, hot drinks and a few nibbles to keep you going!  You can also book a yummy pizza from Sara's Kitchen to be delivered hot to the venue between the two workshops at 7.30pm.

Paper Flowers

with Kat Thomas

Join visual artist Kat, The Paper Florist, to create some wonderful summer paper flowers. Using traditional origami folding techniques you will work through different types of folds to create a beautiful flower for display in the home. Using your new skills you can then make a whole bouquet to display.

Pressed Flower Resin Jewellery

with Katrilee Designs

Work with real pressed flowers and UV resin to design your own beautiful earrings or a necklace.  After assembly and curing your creations are ready to wear right away! Katrina has lots of flowers and jewellery findings to choose from, so you can make something unique.  She uses stainless steel earring findings, so your pieces not only look awesome but are built to last and are hypoallergenic.  No experience needed – it's beginner-friendly and all equipment and materials are included.

Needlefelted Bear Brooch

with Furzie

Make a sweet little bear brooch, complete with brooch pin - so that you can wear your creation with pride.  A good introduction to needlefelting for complete beginners or a fun project for those with some experience.  As Furzie, Michelle Hickman has been teaching the craft of needle-felting for over nine years, and her sculptures have sold all over the world.  She has recently opened her own craft workshop near Taunton.  Crowood Press have recently published her first book “Needlefelting an illustrated guide to creating characters from wool”. 

Kanzashi Fabric Flowers

with Pam Martin

Create a beautiful Kanzashi Flower with Pam Martin of Somerset Stitch using lovely summer fabrics.  She will lead you step by step through the sewing to make a flower which could be used for bags, flipflops, hair clips or anything else you can think up.  A pretty craft that's useful for using up scrap fabric in a fun way.
