Hello
I’m Dion, local mum of two creative children aged 4 and 6. I have over 20 years experience of working in community arts with children and young people and I can’t wait to meet a new group of art hoppers.
What will we do?
Hop over to try some fun art techniques. This is a taster session for a weekly preschool art club (hopefully starting in the Autumn) where we try a new art technique each week, exploring lots of different materials and types of making. In the weekly class we are inspired by a new artist each week, learn about colours and colour mixing, textures, nature art, print making, collage, sculpture and more! It’s great fun for the adults too, so come prepared to join in with your toddler for the session and work together.
On 4 August the Exeter Scrapstore are popping up in to Taunton Brewhouse foyer so for this special Art Hoppers session we will be exploring using scrap in our art.
This isn’t a messy play session but it will be process driven with a focus on exploring the art materials rather than making a perfect finished item to take home. There will be a worksheet to take home with ideas for continuing the theme at home with every day items and basic art supplies. The sessions are geared to age 2+.
